About Sherwood Kypreos
Sherwood Kypreos is a Los Angeles based design studio founded in 2018 by husband and wife, George Kypreos and Shana Sherwood. With backgrounds in architecture and interior design, Sherwood Kypreos approaches each project with a comprehensive aesthetic vision in mind with regard to every detail.
In concert with our design work, Sherwood Kypreos works on in-house development projects. As designers applying the same aesthetic and functional principles to development projects as we do for our clients, we have a unique ability to spot compelling opportunities and bring a valuable creative assist to real estate development.
Shana Sherwood
Shana graduated from the Parsons School of design with a degree in interior design. Before founding Sherwood Kypreos, she lent her skills to Ralph Lauren in store design. A Los Angeles native, Shana is constantly inspired by the diverse architecture found in Los Angeles. Shana believes a space should always feel unique, lived in, and speak to its context- architectural, geographic, and human.
George Kypreos
George received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Southern California and an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business. His training in architectural design began at Marmol Radziner in Los Angeles. He followed this with a transition to in-house design direction, working at Ralph Lauren in New York City, and then at James Perse Los Angeles.
George adheres to a rational approach to design, and seeks always to balance the needs of function, form, aesthetics, and context. He believes that an elegant solution can always be found to the challenge presented by the complex layers and systems inherent in architecture.
